This contest is being held by Explorer RV Club (the “Sponsor”) Renew your Explorer RV Club membership or submit an essay for a chance to win a $500 CAD Tango gift card contest (the “Contest”) begins at 12:00 A.M. Eastern Standard Time (“EST”) on November 30, 2022 and ends at 11:59 P.M. on December 31, 2022 (“Contest Period”). Complete rules and regulations are also available by phone at 1-705-426-1419. No purchase necessary.

ELIGIBILITY:

To be eligible for this Contest, an individual must:

• Be a resident of Canada (not valid for residents of Quebec);
• 18 years or older;
• Contestant must renew their Explorer RV Club membership (“Membership”) during the Contest Period or submit a typed essay and
• Use the promotional code “MISSYOU” at time of checkout when renewing their Membership

HOW TO ENTER:

Eligible contestants may enter the Contest by renewing their Membership during the Contest Period using the promotional code “MISSYOU” at checkout, either online or over the phone. Registration must be completed prior to the end of the Contest Period. One entry per membership renewal. Multiple entries will be considered duplicate entries to the Contest, declared void and the Contestant will be disqualified from the Contest rendering them ineligible for a prize.

Essay: Eligible contestants may enter the Contest by writing an essay about the benefits of being a part of the Explorer RV Community. The essay must be 500-1000 words, typed, in Times New Roman and size 12 font. The contestant’s complete name and phone number must be included in the submission. THE CONTEST IS VOID WHERE PROHIBITED BY LAW, RULE OR REGULATION:

Employees, officers and directors of Explorer RV club and affiliated brokers and their respective affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising, promotional, fulfillment and marketing agencies, and all of their immediate families (parent, child, sibling and spouse) and persons living in the same households as these individuals (whether related or not) are not eligible to participate in the Contest.

RELEASE:

By submitting a completed entry form to enter the Contest, the winner releases Explorer RV Club from any and all liability arising out of, or in connection with, this Contest and the awarding of any Prize, now or in the future. By entering this Contest, the winner consents in writing to the use of their name, city and province where they reside by Explorer RV Club in a format approved by that winner, as well as any audio/video image, statements, and/or photographs in any related publicity and publication without further compensation, worldwide and in perpetuity, in any and all forms of media and social media now known or hereafter devised, including, but not limited to, the Internet, Facebook, Twitter, Linked In, You Tube, Pinterest, SnapChat and in any publicity or advertising carried out by Explorer RV Club, unless prohibited by law. Explorer RV Club reserves the right to post or publish any winner’s name, city, or province of residence, photograph, likeness, voice or other statements, as directed by the winner, on its website and/or on the website of Explorer RV Club’s affiliated companies and/or on the sponsor’s website for advertising and promotional purposes, where lawful, without further compensation to the winner.

By entering in the Contest, the winner agrees to sign a form of declaration confirming compliance with the Contest rules and regulations and agrees to release, indemnify and forever discharge Explorer RV Club and their affiliated companies, directors, trustees, officers, employees, the Prize selection team and any of their parents, affiliates, agents, and contractors, and any advertising and promotional agencies whether for the Contest and/or the Prize, and all their directors, trustees, officers and employees, from any and all action, proceedings, suits, liability, losses, costs, expenses (including legal fees and disbursements), damages, demands and claims of any kind, in respect of anything done by Explorer RV Club in the performance of their duties hereunder in connection with the Contest and/or resulting from the acceptance, possession or use of a Prize or any part of a Prize or any extension to a Prize, including without limitation, but not limiting to, any loss, personal injury, death, disablement, dismemberment, property, home or vehicle damage, or claims based on publicity rights, defamation or invasion of privacy that could result from, but not limited to, the awarding or use of any Prize, by signing an Agreement / Release Form as a condition to and in advance of receiving their Prize in favour of Explorer RV Club, and the Prize Sponsor and Explorer RV Club or any company providing the Prize in this Contest, will not be liable for the use or misuse of the Prize. Explorer RV Club assume no responsibility for the participation in the Contest or any liability, claims, demands, actions, loss, damage or personal injury that may be sustained by the contestants, the winner and/or the person(s) sharing the winner’s prize. The provisions of this section shall survive the termination of this Contest and may be relied upon by the parties hereto at any time.

Failure to comply with these rules may result in disqualification from the Contest.

The logos and other identifying marks attached are trademarks of and owned by the Prize issuer and/or its affiliates. Please visit the Prize issuer’s website for additional terms and conditions that may apply to the Prize.

THE PRIZE:

One (1) $500 CAD gift card ( the “Prize”) , via Tango Blast Rewards operated by Tango Card, Inc. (“Tango”) will be issued to one (1) winner. The Prize is non-transferable, non-assignable and non-exchangeable for any other form of payment or award. Only one Prize can be won by an eligible contestant throughout the Contest. Explorer RV Club is not responsible for any lost, stolen or misplaced Prize.

Any and all taxes on the Prize awarded, including income taxes, and any incidental expenses associated with collection of the Prize (if applicable), are the responsibility of the winner. No substitutions will be made for the Prize. Explorer RV Club, Tango, the Prize selection team, and any of their parents, affiliates, agents, and contractors, including advertising, sponsoring and promotional agencies, and their directors, officers and employees expressly disclaim and shall be held free of all responsibility or liability for any loss or damage in respect to any prize howsoever caused, any act, error, omission, injury, loss, accident, delay or the neglect or default of any company or person providing any service for the Contest, whether through providers negligence or otherwise, or due to cancellations, adverse weather conditions, loss of personal belongings, illness, bodily injury, accident, death, deterioration of services, inconvenience, loss of enjoyment, disappointment or frustration, either mental or physical due to any Acts of God, force majeure or third party wrong doing, epidemic, social or political disturbances or due to any cause whatsoever occurring during the Contest and the use of the Prize by the winner or person(s) sharing any winner’s Prize.

Explorer RV Club, Tango, the Prize selection team, and any of their parents, affiliates, agents, and contractors, including advertising, sponsoring and promotional agencies, and their directors, officers and employees will not be responsible for any lost, stolen, or misplaced gift card or Prize that have expired with a balance remaining on it after being delivered to the winner, or any fees or charges associated with the Prize in any way. The Prize will not be replaced, refunded or reimbursed if lost, stolen or misplaced. Purchase amounts that exceed the value of the Prize will require payment by the user by some other method for the balance due.

The Prize shall be null and void if the winner fails to claim their Prize by January 18th, 2023. If the winner fails to claim the Prize by January 18th, 2023, there will be a redraw and the Prize will be given to the next drawn entrant.

HOW TO WIN AND CLAIM THE PRIZE:

The winner must agree to comply with applicable policies, rules of use and/or restrictions, as described below.

A random draw will take place on January 4, 2023, at 11:00 am EST. One random draw will be made from all valid entries received. When an entrant is selected, such person shall have to correctly answer a mathematical skill-testing question, without assistance of any kind. All decisions of Explorer RV Club and affiliated brokers are final and binding.

The randomly selected entrant will be contacted by telephone, or e-mail. If the selected entrant cannot be contacted or does not respond after a minimum of three (3) attempts before January 18th, 2023, the selected entrant will forfeit the Prize and another entrant will be selected in the manner described above.

The Prize will be issued to the winner by e-mail before February 1, 2023. Explorer RV Club will advise Tango to send the winner a “Tango Card Reward Link” email via a secure FTP site. The winner will receive an email from Tango with instructions on how to redeem their “Tango Card”. To complete the reward process, the winner will click on the redemption URL link in the email. The link will take them to the Reward Link website where the winner may choose how they would like to. allocate their $500 CAD gift card balance across the participating vendors associated with Tango, as they would like for a combined total of $500 CAD. Alternatively, the winner may use the full balance of $500 CAD toward a gift card with a single vendor. For example, $250 can be applied to an Amazon.ca gift card and the remaining $250 can be used to purchase an Esso gift card. The winner will receive their gift card(s) by email with redemption instructions. Examples of the vendor options include:

Gift cards will be delivered electronically to the eligible winner by Tango via email. The winner must provide a valid email address to receive their Prize and respective gift card(s) will only be delivered electronically and not by any other means of delivery. Please allow five (5) business days for delivery of the Prize and respective gift card(s); Exceptions include any unforeseen events such as, but are not limited to: weather events, fire, war, and service provider problems. Gift cards can only be used in Canada.

Gift cards fall under the rules and regulations, terms and conditions of each company issuing the gift card, as amended from time to time. Explorer RV Club, Tango or the companies issuing the gift cards will not be responsible for any lost, stolen, or misplaced gift cards or gift cards that have expired with a balance remaining on them after they have been delivered to the requesters, or any fees or charges associated with gift cards in any way. Gift cards will not be replaced, refunded, or reimbursed if lost, stolen or misplaced. Purchase amounts that exceed the value of gift cards will require payment by the user by some other method for the balance due.

The gift cards are non-transferable and non-exchangeable for cash. Any and all taxes on the gift card, including income taxes, and any incidental expenses associated with collection of the gift card are the responsibility of the recipient. No substitutions will be made for the gift card except at the discretion of Explorer RV Club.

The merchants represented are not sponsors of the rewards, partner or sponsor in this Contest or otherwise affiliated with Explorer RV Club or Tango Card, Inc. ODDS OF WINNING:

Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received.

CORRESPONDENCE FROM CONTEST SPONSOR:

If the contestant requests marketing information about Explorer RV Club and/or Explorer RV Club products and services, Explorer RV Club may send the marketing information to the contestant email address, residential address or as otherwise directed by the contestant. Personal information will not be shared with parties outside of this promotion but will be used by Tango to deliver the gift card of choice by way of a secured website to the qualified contestant. If anyone wishes to receive marketing materials from Explorer RV Club or if anyone does not wish to receive marketing materials after consenting to do so can contact an Explorer RV Club representative by email at [email protected].

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY:

Explorer RV Club and affiliated brokers will not be responsible for mail, telephone, technical, network, online, electronic, computer hardware or software interruptions or failures of any kind, misdirected, stolen, incomplete, incomprehensible or delayed Internet/e-mail computer transmissions on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any website, or any combination thereof, including any injury or damage to a participant’s or any other person’s computer relating to or resulting from participation or downloading any materials in this Contest.

Explorer RV Club and affiliated brokers extends absolutely no representations or warranties in respect of any Prize and accepts no liability arising in respect of such a Prize or in the use thereof.

If for any reason in the opinion of Explorer RV Club, in its sole discretion, the Contest is not capable of running as planned or if the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of the Contest is corrupted or adversely affected, including without limitation by reason of infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes, Explorer RV Club and affiliated brokers reserves the right to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Contest, including without limitation the cancellation of any method of entry or the extension or modification of Contest start and end dates. In such circumstances, Explorer RV Club and affiliated brokers reserves the right to randomly select a winner from previously received valid entries.

Explorer RV Club is not responsible for any entry that is lost, late, damaged, destroyed, corrupted or misdirected, incomplete, garbled, illegible or delayed by or on any computer, online, telephone or technical malfunctions that may occur in the processing transmission or receipt of the entry.

LEGAL WARNING:

Any attempt by any individual, whether or not a participant, to damage, destroy, tamper or vandalize the explorerrvclub.com website, or otherwise interfere with the operation of this Contest, is a violation of criminal and civil law and Explorer RV Club and affiliated brokers reserves the right to seek damages and diligently pursue all remedies in this regard against any offending individual or entity to the fullest extent permissible by law.

TERMINATION:

Explorer RV Club reserves the right to withdraw, terminate, suspend, cancel or modify all or part of the Contest, at any time and without notice if it determines that for any reason the offer cannot be run as originally planned, including, but not limited to, technical failure or corruption, computer virus, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud or any other cause beyond Explorer RV Club’s control which in Explorer RV Club’s opinion compromises the fairness or integrity of the contest and/or affects the administration, security, or proper conduct of this Contest. Failure to comply with Explorer RV Club’s terms and conditions may disqualify the contestant from the Contest.

LAWS:
These are Official Contest rules. This Contest is subject to federal, provincial and municipal laws and regulations. These Contest rules are subject to change without notice in order to comply with any applicable federal, provincial and municipal laws or the policy of any other entity having jurisdiction over the Sponsors. ANY ATTEMPT BY A CONTESTANT TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEBSITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE CONTEST IS A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS. SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, OTIP RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES FROM ANY SUCH CONTESTANT TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.

In the event of any discrepancy or inconsistency between the terms and conditions of these Official Rules and disclosures or other statements contained in any Contest-related materials including, but not limited to the entry form, Contest website, and/or point of sale, television, print or online advertising, the terms and conditions of these Official Rules shall prevail, govern and control.
