Explorer RV Club was established almost 25 years ago by Joe Martin, an insurance broker who saw the need for a group to bring like-minded people together to share stories, information and anything else they could think of. It is Explorer RV Club’s purpose to make your RV adventure a more rewarding experience wherever it may take you. By becoming an Explorer RV Club member, you not only gain access to exclusive savings and benefits, but you also become a part of our RV enthusiast family.
One such benefit is our annual national rally where members from across the country come together for a few days of fun and fellowship. Over the years our rallies have been held at various campgrounds across Canada. We celebrated the new millennium in Richmond, Ontario, a rural village in Ottawa. The family-friendly city of Mount Pearl, Newfoundland was home to our rally in 2005. 2009’s installment was held in the stunning coastal setting of Halifax, Nova Scotia, and last year’s was in beautiful Miller Lake, Ontario.
Unfortunately, like so many other events in 2020, we weren’t able to hold our rally. With that said, we are cautiously optimistic for what 2021 will bring. So, we’ve rescheduled the event for June 3-6, 2021 at the Happy Green Acres Campground in Mallorytown, Ontario. The 50s and 60s rock ‘n’ roll themed event will feature classic tunes, tribute acts, and a classic car show!
A few of the bands scheduled to perform include Déjà Vu, Soul Fusion, The Dreamboats, The Stares, Retro Duo, The Reasons, and Easy Electrified Blues. Expect more band announcements in the coming months. We have our potluck and catered dinners planned, along with games, a cooking demonstration and crafts to fill the days. Once again, we will be having our annual silent auction, with all proceeds going to the Canadian Cancer Society. In the past, members have asked for more free time, so we are incorporating just that for those of you who would like to explore Brockville and the surrounding area. A representative from Brockville Tourism will be speaking on opening night, so have your questions ready.
The situation with COVID-19 remains very fluid and we will continue to monitor the government restrictions closely leading up to the event. Your health and safety remain our number one priority, so we will keep everyone up to date on any changes. Spaces are limited, even more so now due to COVID-19, so please give us a call to reserve your spot.
We know this holiday is going to be very different for many, but if we all stay the course, hopefully we will be able to gather and celebrate at our rock ‘n’ roll-themed national rally come June.
Until then, stay healthy and safe this holiday season, and we look forward to spending time with you in June.
