News Release from the Japanese Mobility Show
Innovation never rests as demonstrated by this tiny micro-camper from Toyota. Shown at the Japanese Mobility Show the Kayoibako is a tiny van and, for now, just a concept. However, it hints at the possibilities for future models and mobility in general. This all-electric van is just 13.1 feet long and 70 inches wide with an all-glass roof. The concept version has been presented as an urban package delivery vehicle, a mobility van with access for wheelchairs and as an outdoors adventure vehicle. One thing for sure it shows off just how versatile a small van platform can be. While there are no plans to move the Kayoibako into production anytime soon; the fact that companies like Toyota design and experiment with concepts like this one gives us an idea of what the future might look like.
