Canadian RV Shows to Get You Through Off-Season

There’s no better way to ignite your imagination for the upcoming RV season than to wander through one of Canada’s RV shows. Surrounded by fellow adventurers, it’s an excellent opportunity to take in all the possibilities the vendors and sponsors offer. Whether or not you’re in the market for a new rig or simply dreaming about the potential, there’s something for everyone to enjoy at these shows.

Build a game plan

Sometimes big RV shows can be overwhelming, so you should have a plan for your visit. Check out the show’s website ahead of time to see who the exhibitors are and what they might feature at the event. Find a floor plan and download it to your phone or kick it old school and print out a copy to have with you. Of course, they’re typically available once you arrive at the convention centre, but hard-core attendees may want to map their path through the show in advance. Doing this will help ensure you don’t miss anything important to you.

Go prepared

Before heading out, ensure you know where the best parking is. Remember that the floors at RV Shows are usually made of concrete, creating hours of walking challenging. If you’re planning to pause for refreshments at the show, make sure you have both cash and a card, as some food vendors may only accept one or the other. Bring a refillable bottle so you don’t have to pay for over-priced water at the event. Finally, take a tape measure. You never know what you might find for your RV, and you’ll want to ensure it’ll fit your space before making a purchase.

Soak up the energy

Undoubtedly, one of the best things about RV shows is the enthusiasm of the attendees. People passionate about the RV lifestyle have a contagious energy about them. They’re friendly and full of stories about their experiences and adventures. Talk to veteran attendees and RV community members. Get schooled

Some of the bigger RV shows have seminars running all day, every day. Take a seat (good excuse to rest those tired feet) and learn tips for maintaining your RV, hitching your rig, protecting your home away from home, and so much more.
